Overview

Inventory Control Lead

Location:  Forest Park, IL

Shift:  5:00am - 1:30pm, OT as needed

Rate: $17.00/hour

 

 

Paper Source is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and has a Distribution Center in Forest Park, Illinois, which holds finished inventory for stores, direct-to-consumer and wholesale, and a production area which houses the manufacturing operations of Paper Source proprietary product. This position will be based out of the Paper Source Distribution Facility (7801 Industrial Drive, Forest Park, IL 60130).  

CDC and State Covid guidelines observed.

 

 

Position Summary

Inspect and help to maintain orderly and accurate inventory within Distribution Center. Perform administrative functions including record keeping, reporting and responding to email. Reconcile discrepancies in inventories and notify I/C manager of irregularities.

 

 

Essential Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Ensure that all product is properly located and stocked
  • Restock misplaced and returned product in proper locations
  • Process product that is damaged, obsolete or designated for warehouse sale
  • Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to system inventory
  • Work with cross functional teams to resolve inventory transaction problems and improve procedures
  • Implement and maintain best practice inventory control procedures throughout supply chain operation
  • Perform routine clerical duties including data entry and answering email
  • Prepare daily reports including the following: inventory balance, stock counts, shortages, damaged items, can't finds, receipts, MOS, bin moves, and replenishments
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience related to Inventory Control
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to system data
  • Database management skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Clerical, word processing, and office skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated and Detail Oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Forklift experience, a plus
